Terms and Conditions

Definitions:
Principal Guest: refers to - the person responsible for the booking i.e./ main contact
The owners:  refers to  - Keith and Denise Thompson of 52 Templegate Close, Whitkirk, LS15 0PJ
The Villa:  refers to - accommodation at   49 Playa Golf, Plot R5 Orihuela Costa, Alicante.
The Company: refers to Playa Golf, Costa Blanca Golf Breaks

 

Booking agreement:
To secure your dates for accommodation there will be a 20% non-refundable deposit taken against bookings made up to 8 weeks prior to departure. For bookings of less than 8 weeks prior to departure payment must be made in full. The person making the booking (party leader) is responsible for making all payments due to us and must be authorised to do so by all members of the party.

Air-Conditioning :
Air-Conditioning is provided as an optional extra and is fitted in bedrooms only, this carries an additional cost of £4.50 per night. Please note, if you would like the use of this facility, please specify at the time of booking, as they operate only by remote control and will be installed ready for your arrival.

Pool Rules:

The location of our Pool is to the rear of the villa. All Guests must abide by the rules set out and displayed at the entrance to the Swimming Pool. The Pools is for the use of Residents and Guests only. You will be issued with a key, but please ensure that this key is not lost as there will be a charge of £100.00 for replacement, as set out by the Community President. NB: in the event of the pool being out of use for whatever reason, we cannot be held responsible for lack of this facility. There are pools within the vicinity such as Eduardo's in the next street or the Hotel LaZenia, on the beach - These are both open to the public.

Golf bookings:
A 10% non-refundable deposit per person, per game will be charged per booking as and when confirmation is made. The balance must be paid to the club on the day of play. You will need to check in 20 mins before tee off, if you fail to do so, the Golf Club are within their rights to terminate your booking. “Miss your slot lose your deposit”. The company will not be liable for any refunds.   

Villa Occupancy:
Under no circumstance must the maximum number of 4 persons be exceeded. We reserve the right to terminate any rental immediately and without refund or compensation due to any unreasonable disturbance, over-occupancy, or wilful damage to the property.

We operate a policy of if you break it you’ve bought it:
Please allow £150 per booking (returnable) for security/key deposit, to be added to your final balance. This will be refunded in full shortly after your holiday, provided that there have been no costs incurred due to breakage/damages.  In such case as any damage has been sustained over and above the value of the security deposit then the principle guest will agree to pay to the full value of any items damaged/lost/stolen through negligence, which falls above and beyond any general wear and tear.

Security:

It is your responsibility to ensure that the villa is locked up and is secure at all times- Do not leave door grills unlocked when on the upper levels, or when you visit the swimming pool. Please be vigilant. You must take all steps necessary to safe guard your own property. A safe has been provided for your valuables, it is suggested that you use it, in order to comply with your insurers requirements.

Liability:

The owners shall not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury sustained by guests, whilst occupying the villa due to negligent behavior. This does not interfere with your statutory rights..

Smoking Policy:

For the comfort of all our guests, and for the safety and cleanliness of our soft furnishings, we operate a no smoking policy. We would like to thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

Polite request:
We kindly request that all our guests show consideration to fellow neighbours at all times, our villa is in a residential area, so exceptionally loud noise/music etc. should be discouraged during siesta time and late at night when such disturbance may cause a complaint from other residents.

Arrivals:
The villa will be available from 4pm on the day of arrival, however if you are scheduled to arrive earlier please advise us, as we may on some occasions be able to give access provided the villa has been serviced

Departures:
Guests are required to vacate their accommodation by 10 am on the day of departure to facilitate cleaning and servicing prior to the arrival of incoming guests.

Maintenance:
Should there be any problems with maintenance or indeed anything you need assistance with please contact the House Keeper – her number is in our directory 

Cleaning:
Before your arrival your villa will have been cleaned and serviced for you.  We will supply fresh bed linen and towels (not to be removed from the house).  Please ensure that you bring your own beach towels for use at the Beach or Pool.

There will be a cleaning charge of €50 euros per booking.  (Cash only please) This is payable directly to the House Keeper on arrival please. This is to cover the final Clean and servicing of the villa at the end of your occupancy.

Cancellation:

In the very unlikely event that the owners are unable (due to any unforeseen circumstance/acts of god) to provide accommodation as booked, either before or during the contracted dates. We, the owners will reimburse all monies paid for the Villa rental, before the start of the holiday or pro rata in the case of an occurrence happening during the holiday period. We will (in such an event that the holiday is disrupted due to equipment failure or acts of god, causing early termination of contract) liaise with the guest and endeavor to help find other accommodation for the continued period. The guest must ensure that he has funding available to cover accommodation costs with other villa rental companies (some only accept cash). We will refund all monies due , including any housekeeping charges (by Cheque) within 7 days of your return home.

In the event that the guest makes a cancellation, for whatever reason, the contract with the company shall be considered broken and is not liable to refund any monies paid to date. 

Please ensure that all members of your party have travel insurance cover.
